Room 3/C: Randy's Big Pension Whoopsie

After too many days neck-deep in pension stew, I’ve come to the startling conclusion that Mayor Woodfin is not totally on the level when it comes to using words. I’m as shocked as anybody. Here’s my analysis of the very normal situation of a democratically-elected leader calling anyone who disagrees with him “disinformation.” Fun will surely be had by all.

Maybe I’ll do a future connect-the-dots episode with these two and Randall. Lots of money in common. The Follow-the-Money info lists individual contributions, but many individuals represent multiple parties, private businesses have PACs of their own, and then there’s all the lobbyists scurrying betwixt.

(I am unaware of the status of Rep. Rogers’ contest bill, which requires co-signatures from other legislators. This may have been applicable only while HB was in Committee, but they are likely to be relevant in other instances in this process.)

Potential Votes Against (within the JCLC):

Sen:

Shay Shelnutt (not potential against, just let him know he’s a slimyman)

Obviously you should contact your own reps/senators, in preparation for the eventual floor votes. Thanks for your time.
